Printed directories can be useful, sometimes!

Recently, I had to do some heavy duty DYI. My wife received a marine antique porthole as a birthday gift and she wanted me to fix it on the wall. This thing weights 30Kg ( ~5 stones)

And of course, this had to be put at a height of 1.50m up on the wall.. so I built a scaffolding on a shoe string:

But I was missing a shim of 1 inch to be at the proper height. This is where the printed directory came really handy:

Perfect, I made it and I am pretty proud of the final result:

Not bad, hey ?! Obviously, this printed directory is now recycled... at least it served some purpose being sent back to its creator :-)
